Flew out today. An early start. I got the tickets whilst sparkle found the platform. 8:24 platform 5 was an arrival so we decided to actually get on a train that was leaving rather than arriving. Unusually for Ryanair there wasn’t a queue for the Oslo flight. This might have been because we were late(ish) but the flight wasn’t busy either.

Shortly after clearing security Sparkles Visa page fell out of her passport. This was uncool in a big way. There was stress but it was quickly resolved with the deft application of sellotape. All this was after we had out boots x-rayed (a first for me). Once we touched down in Oslo we crossed our fingers that it wasn’t going to be a climbing trip to Oslo airport and back. There wasn’t a problem, and our bags were even the first out of the carousel. The careful bus timetable work in London paid off and we boarded the 182 without fuss. The change in Skien was also simple and by 7pm we were checking into the Park Hotel in downtown Rjukan.
